    Description

    1852 THREE-CENT “SILVER” Coin.
Very nice detail on the Smallest Silver Coin ever minted. The last 2 digits show 52 as the first 2 digits 18 was drilled out for someone’s sweetheart. This was a common practice as many holed coins were worn. So the story goes! This is a nice filler for your collection. This would grade as a FINE most likely. Great detail with light wear. The 3 cent SILVER pieces were made from 1851 through 1873 all in Philadelphia. This happens to be the 2nd year of minting. Thanks for looking, David
